For a long time now I have had the idea of doing a teddy bears picnic themed photo shoot, today I had the chance to put my idea into reality, and got to work with the lovely Kate again. Originally I wanted two models for the shoot but one dropped out due to falling down the stairs oh dear! But I think it still works really well with just one model, and loved Kate’s outfit and make up. She did a great job 🙂
My chosen location for the shoot was the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham as there are lots of grassy places and photo spots to choose from. I set up a picnic blanket with 2 teddies, a doll, tea set, tea-pot, ‘fake’ sweets’ (which were rock from the seaside) and knitted cakes. Lots of props to deal with I know took some time to set it up right.
My idea was for the model to be doll-like or like a little girl playing with her dolls; we tried out both ideas with success. Luckily the sun was out to start off with and we got all the shots done using the props both together and separately. Then the rain came, it poured it down, but we still managed to do a few more shots of Kate on her own before calling it a day.
Here’s a sneak peek of the shots haven’t gone through them all properly yet to find the best ones but couldn’t wait to blog about them.
